Effect of Baffles in Flow Channel on the Performance of Vanadium Redox Flow Battery

For a PEMFC to work better, adding baffles flow channel can improve reactant transfer. As result, the starts by developing 3-D numerical model for vanadium redox battery (VRFB) using COMSOL Multiphysic Simulation Software. By incorporating into serpentine channel, it is possible simulate changes in ion concentration and terminal voltage. The findings indicate that efficiency will be impacted baffles. authors also studied effect of baffle height count. 0.9 times number 9 has better performance on battery. There are four cases installing nine arranging types entire such number. In Case 4, placed uniformly at location numbers 1, 9, 17 path. It voltage reaction than other cases. unit tests cell performances were experimentally analyzed smooth-serpentine baffled-serpentine one. According experimental findings, higher volume rate (300 mL/min) lower current per area (40 mA/cm2) acquire best energy efficiency. 4 smooth channel.
